Im in my first year, and there a girl in my major that I keep noticing. She really smart and always seems to have a solution to every problem but she very quiet and doesnt really talk or socialize much. Id like to know how I could approach her.

ابي نصيحة خريج مالي من جامعة القصيم من ٣ سنوات اعمل بالعمليات في احدى البنوك حرفيا مقبرة لا مميزات ولازيادات ولا فرص نمو وراتب الحد الادنى موت مهني بطيء، الاشكالية اني عجزت احصل فرصة اخرى في مجالي مهما قدمت علما اني اخذت cme1 وحاولت اخذ سفا١ وفشلت

Im taking four courses and they are all with the same dr. His teaching style hasnt changed at all since I joined the uni and my grades havenot been good. Im really struggling and don’t know what to do

Most of my courses are with professors who mainly read off slides, so I stopped attending and switched to self study. It’s tough at first, but it pays off. U’ll get better at finding and understanding information faster than most people. Id honestly recommend trying it

Thats a very good question!!!!! صراحة انقطعت عن القراءة لفترة طويلة والآن أحاول أرجع للوضع، فياليت ينعاد السؤال بعد سنة. توب ٣ إجحاف شوي فبقدم ما أحب سواء كان روائي أو غيره، القائمة مب مرتبة ١- كافكا على الشاطئ ٢- شجرتي شجرة البرتقال الرائعة ٣- واختفى كل شيء - أجاثا كريستي ٤- الخيميائي ٥- ديوان المتنبي ٦- ديوان الشافعي ٧- كتب ابن القيم ٨- كتب علي الطنطاوي ٣ و٤ قرأتهم باللغتين وأرشح اللي ترتاح له أكثر، كلهم جيدين وإذا أقدر أضيف مانقا فمونستر الأفضل وباللغتين ممتازة كذلك (مونستر المانقا أفضل من الأنمي) + now i read ikagi, atomic habits, white nights (توصيات الأصدقاء) وقد أنزل منهم تقييم اللي يعجبني وأشوفه يستحق

thank u for the advice <3 why do u think its a smarter move for you? if i take one summer class ill graduate on time but have a messy plan and if i take 2 i’ll be back on track but it depends if my uni agrees. its just a mental thing because it crushes my self esteem every day to get bad grades in college or get a W even if everyone struggles i feel like i am the only one

When I say that it is the smarter move, I wasn’t just looking at this semester, I’m looking at the long journey. If u stay and risk failing or getting low grades again, that hurts ur gpa more and keeps u stuck in the same cycle. Dropping and resetting gives u space to fix what’s actually not working instead of repeating it (depending on how you handle it this time) Also, effort alone isn’t the issue. Something about ur approach needs to change. So if I were you, I’d rather pause, figure it out properly, and come back stronger, instead of forcing it and getting the same results again. About summer and the messy plan, I don’t fully see it as a problem if you still graduate on time. The question is whether it actually reduces stress and improves performance, or just keeps things tight and overwhelming? Yk that a plan can look messy on paper but still work if it fits your situation. So it’s less about perfection in structure, and more about whether it actually improves your results

how to know if its worth dropping a semester because of my bad grades? it sucks how much effort i put in. like i already took a W for two classes last term and i tried to repeat them this term and still got same grades if not worse. And the only solution is to either risk failing them or drop the term after all this effort and do summer classes which are pass fail

Talk to an advisor and see if dropping + summer is actually the smarter move (for me it is). And before you retake any course (or even take new ones), talk to people who already got high grades in it and ask for advices. What actually worked for them? How they studied? Is there something youre missing? Anything they wish they knew earlier that wouldve made the course 10x easier? Believe me this is a life changing hack

Now moving to the grades part, i understand that GPA pressure can hit hard, but IT DOES NOT DEFINE YOU OR YOUR FUTURE وبالسوق التقني عاللي أشوفه الأهمية للسكلز والبروجكتز اللي عندك أكثر من المعدل so you still have a strong advantage if you focus on that And always remember "لو تسعى سعي الوحوش غير رزقك مابتحوش" this may also help صحيح مهم نسعى ونبذل جهد، بس ترا الرزق مكتوب من قبل نولد

by just technical skills do u mean CS?

Cs and engineering (Autocad, arduino, etc)

Why did u choose IE instead of other majors?

Cz its flexible and works in almost any field. I didnt want a major that limits me, and I like how it builds a strong way of thinking not just technical skills. I could go deeper, but thats basically it

وش اسوي لو انا ثالث سنة و للآن لا متقبلة التخصص ولا الجامعة، الجامعة خلاص اقتنعت فيها بس تخصصي كل يوم اكرهه، اقدر ادخل المجال المهني اللي ابيه بدون ما اغيرة لو تعبت على نفسي بس مو كل شي لسه و احس حتى بعد ما اتخرج منه دايم في قلبي بيكون تخصص الاحلام اللي حولي كلهم يقولون تقبلي و الدنيا تمشي بس مدري وش رايك ايش اسوي

دامك تقدرين تدخلين المجال اللي تبينه ليش باقي تفكرين بتخصصك؟ اوصلي للي تبينه بالموجود وعيشي. وصراحه الدراسه بالجامعات ممله وبالغالب لو درستي شغفك بتكرهينه فأرشح السيلف ليرننق + ياما شفت ناس مبدعين بالحاسب تخصصاتهم بعيده عنه، وكذلك الإداره. فالسوق حرفيًا يعطي فرص للمبدعين لكن للوصول لها لازم تكون مميز أكثر طلاب التخصص نفسهم

Depends on ur uni actually but overall i guess 4+/5 would be more than good

انا باقي لي سنه واتخرج بس ماعندي ساعات تطوع ولا تدريب ولاشيء سيرتي فاضية واعيش في قريه ما عندنا فرص ابد ، وش الحل؟

كسينيور قد أرشح شهادة احترافية تخص المجال وايلتس، بس بشكل عام لو تحسين عندك وقت فاشتغلي على بروجكتز، بالنسبه للتطوع تقدرين تدخلين المبادرات اللي ماتتبع جامعة معينة لإن بالغالب يكون الشغل remotly فيها ومابياخذ وقت، بالنسبه للتدريب تقدرين تاخذين خطاب من الجامعة وتروحين لأي مكان وتطلبين تدريب، قليل اللي يرفض، الاستفاده حسب المكان بس لعلها تعبي فراغ السيفي، كذلك فعلي لنكدان (هذا أهم شي)
