Religion exists as a reminder of our purpose. It brings us to our inner world to ponder and reflect on ourselves. It serves as a divine compass, a framework that helps us establish strong moral values. And that simultaneously brings comfort, because everyone’s equal in the eyes of God. For me, religion is essential. Without it, it would feel like living in the dark. God gifted us the blessing of life, so the least we can do is show him gratitude. In an era where individualism is isolating us, I love how religion reminds us that we live in communities. It’s the little things; respect your parents, be kind to the younger ones, always visit your relatives, give charity, help others in need... to build yourself, your relationships, your community… I find that so human.
